Jim Coloff

KCNZ General Manager Jim Coloff started his career at the early age of 13 at KIOW in Forest City. Jim now has managerial duties at KIOW in Forest City, KMCH in Manchester, KCHA-AM/FM in Charles City, KCZE-FM in New Hampton, KLKK-FM in Mason City, KSMA-FM in Mason City & 1650 The Fan and Mix 93.5 in Waterloo/Cedar Falls. Jim is a graduate of Iowa State and has also worked at radio stations in Ames and Des Moines.




Scott Fenzloff

Scott Fenzloff has been with 1650 The Fan since its inception in July 1995, and began his radio career in 1981, at KCHA AM/FM in Charles City. He took seven years off to be a soldier and then a full-time college student, before coming back to radio in 1989. A proud alumnus of the University of Northern Iowa, Scott has extensive news coverage experience around the Cedar Valley, with his work for six years with KCFI-AM, and now, 1650 The Fan. Fenzloff served his state and nation for over twenty years in the Iowa National Guard and the United States Army. He served a tour of duty in Kuwait during Operation Iraqi Freedom II in 2004.

Jesse Gavin

News/Sports Director Jesse Gavin joined 1650 The Fan in December of 2010. Jesse has been working in radio and TV in Iowa for a dozen years, beginning when he was a junior in high school. Jesse returns to 1650 The Fan, where he called Cedar Falls football games during the 2005 season. Jesse is a graduate of Wartburg College in Waverly, and has won numerous awards for play-by-play and sports coverage from the Iowa Broadcast News Association.
